Qigong

What is Qigong? Qi means “vital energy”, or “life force” or “breath”; in simple terms, qi means energy. It flows through everything, including our bodies. “Gong” means work, use, transform, cultivate, or refine. So qigong means using vital life energy to create a healthy mind and body.

Qigong can heal you not only physically, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If you think about it, this is the only way you can be completely healed. Qigong can help you experience the perfect balance that you are meant to have.

There are many styles of qigong that have evolved over thousands of years in China. Some are very complicated and require years or even decades of practice. I like Spring Forest Qigong® because it is very simple and very powerful. You can learn to do it in a matter of hours for yourself and make a real difference in your health and well-being.

The components of qigong are meditation, focused concentration, breathing techniques, and body movements to wake up our “vital energy” as it flows through the invisible channels in our body.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed.

According to the Chinese model, sickness, pain and other health problems are caused when qi energy is blocked. When qi cannot flow through the invisible channels- the meridians of the body- two things happen. First, excess qi builds up where it is not needed or wanted. This is like water damming a river and flooding a neighborhood. Second, other parts of the body do not receive enough qi. This is like the riverbed drying out on the other side of a dam, destroying the river life. Qigong helps remove blockages and increase the flow of energy through your body. Flowing freely, qi energy helps heal and restore the body to a state of balance.

When we are in balance we are at our most creative. We can release and transform all that holds us back from manifesting our full potential and life purpose.
Know yourself.

Do your best.

Make a little progress everyday.

Don't overdo it.
